Live Webinar
July 29, 2026
12:00 CST - 60 minutes
AAPC approved for 1 CEU

Join us for an in-depth review of commonly performed general surgery procedures, including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs. This course will explore what services may be separately billable versus those included in the global procedure, along with opportunities for documentation improvement and clarification.

Through case-based discussions, participants will review both CPT and ICD-10 coding principles as they apply to general surgery. Whether you are new to general surgery coding or seeking a refresher, this course will strengthen your understanding of the procedures being performed, improve coding accuracy, and help reduce unnecessary provider queries.

As a result of attending this course, participants will be able to…
• Appropriately code for appendectomies, both when performed as a primary procedure and when performed with other abdominal procedures in the same surgical session.
• Better understand the anatomy of the gallbladder, surrounding structures, and cholecystectomy procedures
• Ensure all billable services are being captured with hernia repair surgeries and know which services are bundled.

Who Should Attend: Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Practice Administrators, Managers, and Coding Professionals.
