Join us for an in-depth review of commonly performed general surgery procedures, including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs. Through case-based discussions, participants will review both CPT and ICD-10 coding principles as they apply to general surgery. Whether you are new to general surgery coding or seeking a refresher, this course will strengthen your understanding of the procedures being performed, improve coding accuracy, and help reduce unnecessary provider queries.

• Appropriately code for appendectomies, both when performed as a primary procedure and when performed with other abdominal procedures in the same surgical session.
• Better understand the anatomy of the gallbladder, surrounding structures, and cholecystectomy procedures
