Mastering Surgical Modifiers

- Assess documentation for appropriate modifier reporting.
- Distinguish between modifiers that seem similar.
- Differentiate the correct modifier for the individual provider and their role in each surgical report.
- Manage the risk of over-utilization of certain modifiers by communicating documentation improvement opportunities.
