On-Demand Mastering Dermatology Coding 2024

Mastering Dermatology Coding 2024

$550|
Dermatology coding most recently came under scrutiny by many payors, including CMS and the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). With the added scrutiny, accurate coding and documentation in Dermatology is critical. In particular, Modifier 25 usage in Dermatology has been on the OIG workplan since 2019. This dynamic interactive session will cover evaluation and management services, accurate modifier usage, dermatology office procedures, and how-to-code screenings. We will include real-world medical record documentation to illustrate good and bad documentation. In addition to office procedures, an in-depth discussion of Mohs micrographic surgery, CPT and CMS guidelines will be covered, and documentation examples supporting medical necessity. The workbook includes several dermatology documentation tips you can use in your practice to fine-tune your documentation.
Learning Objectives
  • Correctly code common general dermatology procedures.
  • Correctly code Mohs Micrographic Surgery
  • Identify areas for improvement in documentation.
  • Accurately apply modifiers when required and understand their impact on reimbursement.
