Evaluation and Management (E/M) Coding in Orthopaedics Now and in the Future

Even in a bustling surgical Orthopaedic practice E/M impacts a clinic’s bottom line, so it is imperative to make sure you and your staff understand recent changes and modifications to office and hospital visit coding. The 2024 AAOS Confident E/M Coding course sifts through the updated guidelines (2021/2023) and addresses important updates in Orthopaedics during this half day session. This year's agenda covers all you need to know to code and document accurately and efficiently in 2024 and beyond.

The course also provides specific E/M answers for common challenges to the Orthopaedic practice and answers questions such as, “When can I get credit for independent interpretation of imaging?” or “Is the patient a new patient if I am a different subspecialty than my partner in the same clinic?”.  Real-life E/M documentation note exercises make this course ideal for surgeons and coding staff. The course describes why documentation is as essential as the code selected, and how to capture all potential revenue by improving your notes.
